Traditional script Shakespeare -

* The language is socially indicative of the time  - "Do you bite your thumb at me sir?"
* Now it is more culturally diverse
* Marriage was highly rated - you were of a higher status if you were married.
* You never find out why they hate each other - this can be added to our own series of Romeo and Juliet as you never really know for definite as to why people disagree with same gender relationships. So we can link ours to the original in that way also.

West side story -

* Putericans were a growing minority group.
* Racsim was at its highest - main reason being that they were taking jobs form Americans.

Romeo and Juliet 1996 -

* Religious connotations - If you killed yourself Catholics back then believed that you would go to hell.
* We see murder/Suicide more politically
* Modern day setting distracts you from the olden days, you forget that your listening to an olden day script.
* Easy to follow like a kid with a picture book, don't necessarily have to follow the what it says but it communicates with gestures
* Guns were called daggers - "oh happy dagger"

Gnomeo and Juliet -

* Easy to follow
* no forced marriage more 21st century.
